We are seeking a Theater Program Assistant to support the Theater Director with the coordination and production of the school’s theater program. This stipend position provides technical, organizational, and logistical support throughout the rehearsal and production process.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with lighting, sound, and other technical production needs
• Supporting costume planning, organization, and coordination
• Assisting with publicity, advertising, and promotion of theater productions
• Recruiting, organizing, and coordinating volunteers
• Assisting with the coordination and management of rehearsal and production schedules
• Supporting communication and logistics among students, staff, volunteers, and others involved in productions
• Providing other production-related support necessary for the successful operation of the theater program

Qualifications:

• Two to five years of related experience in theater production, performing arts, event production, or a related area
• Experience in one or more areas of theater production, such as lighting, sound, costuming, publicity, or production coordination
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Theater Director, students, staff, and volunteers
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines associated with theater productions
• Availability during rehearsals, performances, and other theater program activities, including evenings as required

Compensation:

This is a stipend position with a fixed stipend of $10,107.
